Happy Birthday, Camp O' the Hills!  Come celebrate the 80th birthday of COTH from 11am to 3pm.  Birthday cake and presents for everyone!  Stroll the grounds, visit the lodges and campsites, meet the staff, and play games -- this is a great family event.  Bring your friends and neighbors.

Visit Camp O' the Hills during our 80th Birthday Open House on May 18th from 11am to 3pm.  Not only will you receive a gift and birthday cake, you can check out the camp facilities and meet the staff before you sign up for Resident Camp.  FREE!
 
PARENTS:  this is a great opportunity for first-time campers to see the lodges, activity areas and waterfront.

May 17th from 1 to 4pm
Upper Grand River Watershed Youth Cleanup Day

Lions Park in Jackson
on the corner of Blackstone and Adams

Volunteers will meet at the park before heading out to various cleanup sites in the Upper Grand River Watershed.  After the cleanup, everyone will meet back at the park for a gathering
with snacks, educational displays, and much more!

Volunteers will get a free t-shirt and other educational materials.  It's a great way to keep the Grand River clean -
and it's FUN!

Teams MUST be registered by May 1st.

National Youth Traffic Safety Month

Rural Youth Traffic Safety Message Competition

For National Youth Traffic Safety Month the U. S. Department of Transportation is   sponsoring a cooperative agreement through National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) for a National Rural Youth Traffic Safety Message Competition.  Your group can win up to $5,000!
Community or school supported youth organizations are eligible to compete. Youth-led teams from community or school based organizations are encouraged to develop a rural youth traffic safety message campaign that includes a tagline or theme about rural youth traffic safety, design the message for posters, print advertisements, video, and/or radio and use the message campaign in a community rural youth traffic safety project.  Click on the kids below for more information!
