Purchased by the Jackson Girl Scout Council and began
operation in 1928.
Operated in compliance with the high standards of
the Girl Scouts of the USA, the Michigan Department of
Consumer & Industry Services Camp Licensing Division,
the American Camping Association and the Jackson County
Health Department.
Serves over 2000 members each year.
Located on 109 acres of property in the heart of the
Irish Hills area.
Camp O' the Hills
is used by council members throughout the year for residential
programs, day events, organizational meetings and troop
camping.
Troop Leaders attend
a series of required camp trainings to ensure quality
outdoor experiences.
Outdoor program
staff members are selected for their skills, experience
and interest in children as well as through standard
interviews and reference reports.
