Honoring Our Sisters Pow Wow

The Honoring Our Sisters Pow Wow and The Gathering were both really fun!  The Girl Scouts in the red shirts were part of The Gathering.  They got to stay at Camp O' the Hills for 4 days with our Native American friends.  They learned a lot about the customs, crafts, songs, and special clothes called Regalia that Native Americans wear at Pow Wows.  While you may not be old enough to register for The Gathering this year, you and your family or troop can come to the Pow Wow.  There are dances that everyone gets to take part in, like the Potato Dance!  Not sure what that is?  Come to the Pow Wow to find out!  There will be more information on both the Program and Events pages as time goes by so check in.  There will also be links to pictures of Girl Scouts from our Council doing fun things.  Ask your Leader to take pictures when you do something really special like a Service Project, a trip, or a ceremony.  She can send the pictures to the Service Center so that they can be put on the website.  Now, let's find out what's on the Camp Page.  You'll have to scroll a long way up!  See the Navigation button with the  flashlight icon?  Click on it!
