Troop Camp Training (TCT) Recertification

TCT certification is valid for 3 years.  Volunteers may recertify in TCT once without taking the course by completing a written test.  A TCT recertification test will be issued upon the completion of a training registration form.  The completed test must be returned to the GSIHC Service Center within one week.  After reviewing the test, a letter will be sent within two weeks, notifying the participant of their score.  Volunteers failing to pass the test must complete the course for certification.

  • Fee:  None

  • Pre-requisite:  Registered Girl Scout Adult

Girl Scout First Aider

It is highly recommended that every troop have  First Aider (CPR and First Aid Certified) and a First Aider is required for all trips and any physically demanding activity.  This can be the troop leader or another volunteer working with the troop.  Please remember, the First Aider and the Troop Camp Trained adult cannot be the same person.  The following individuals can serve as a troop First Aider without taking the course if their certification/license is current:  Physician, physician's assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, paramedic, military medic, and emergency medical technician.
